Dentro del ciclo de sesiones de CIAM (Centro Internacional de Arbitraje de Madrid) sobre la figura del #perito en el #arbitraje internacional, celebramos el próximo 30 de junio la tercera sesión bajo el título «¿Para qué sirven los careos de peritos?».
La sesión contará con expertos en arbitraje internacional de primer nivel como Carmen Martinez Lopez, socia de la firma inglesa especializada en arbitraje internacional Three Crowns LLP, junto con otros profesionales de empresas como Capgemini Engineering, Ayuso, Laínez & Monterrey, The Brattle Group o EY.

For the first time, Madrid has entered the top 10 of the arbitration seats preferred by the Latin American and Caribbean regions according to the latest survey by the School of International Arbitration (SIA) of the Queen Mary University of London. These results showcase the increase in reputation and popularity of Madrid as a seat for arbitration and is proof of the efforts made by the Spanish arbitration community in promoting international arbitration and the impact of the Constitutional Court doctrine initiated in its judgment of June 15th 2020.
At MIAC (CIAM) we are very proud to join these efforts, since our foundation a year ago, and we celebrate these encouraging results.

Por primera vez, Madrid ha entrado en el top 10 de las sedes arbitrales preferidas por América Latina y el Caribe, según la última encuesta de la Escuela de Arbitraje Internacional (SIA) de la Universidad Queen Mary de Londres. Estos resultados muestran el aumento de reputación y popularidad de Madrid como sede del arbitraje y es una prueba de los esfuerzos realizados por la comunidad arbitral española en la promoción del arbitraje internacional y el impacto de la doctrina del Tribunal Constitucional iniciada en su sentencia de 15 de junio de 2020.
En el MIAC (CIAM) estamos muy orgullosos de unirnos a estos esfuerzos, desde nuestra fundación hace un año, y celebramos estos alentadores resultados.

El próximo 12 de mayo a las 12:00 horas, nuestro presidente José Antonio Caínzos Fernández participará en una sesión virtual organizada por el Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid, conmemorando el 30° Aniversario de su Corte de Arbitraje, junto con más expertos del máximo nivel en el sector jurídico y arbitral.
Entre estos expertos, se contarán personalidades tan relevantes como Celso Rodríguez Padrón (Presidente del TSJ), Carlos de los Santos (Presidente del Club Español del Arbitraje), Yolanda Ibarrola (Viceconsejera de Justicia de la Comunidad de Madrid) y Urquiola De Palacio (Presidenta de la Corte de Arbitraje de Madrid). En esta sesión, presentada y moderada por José María Alonso (Decano del ICAM), se tratarán temas tan interesantes como el arbitraje durante la COVID19, la importancia de la formación de los abogados para actuar como árbitros o la integración de cláusulas arbitrales en los contratos.

MIAC (CIAM) is proud to co-organize with the Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit e.V. (DIS) German Arbitration Institute the webinar «Spain and Germany as Seat of Arbitration», which will be celebrated on May 4th at 17:00h (CET).
The event will focus on the jurisdictions of Spain and Germany, their relationship with international arbitration, as well as their characteristics when being seats of arbitration, and will be presented by Dr. Herbert Kronke (Chairman of the DIS Board of Directors) and our President, José Antonio Caínzos Fernández.
The webinar will feature a panel of renowned experts, such as Erik Schäfer, Josef Fröhlingsdorf, Elizabeth Hincapie, LLM and Heidi López Castro, after which there will be a Q&A session. Finally, Andreas Heinrich and Víctor Gamero Cabo will do the closing remarks.
